Putrefaction
Putrefaction
Two-Part Performed Text.
I've been dead for 7000 years, I cannot die, cannot die. Putrid flesh blooms, and the corpses of millennia erupt as the steel beasts expose their maw.
Do not fear the end, 'tis a mirage you see.
Bodies of the populace rampage and rave while those with capital thrive.
Iron, plaster and concrete will crumble, leaving a sea of post-industrial waste.
Set me free, for I am an animal. We shall feast and devour their flesh, their earthly possessions too.
Our bellies glowing golden.

Tá brón orm: (sadness is on me), as it is on you.
Clouds are upon us, but they shall pass.
Breathe and be joyous! Be present but revere the past, for it is beneath our feet.
Dig deep.
Our flesh will morph and contort, changing our forms.
We shall become one another's species, no longer divided by boundaries and borders.
Skin rent and unravelling, revealing fimbriae and salivary glands.
Limbs loosen, extended joints fuse and dissolve, leaving mantle and pneumostome:
we breathe anew, united by the soil.
I am them
and I am content.
